hamilton was the last stop of my two weeks plus holiday. i actually enjoyed shopping at super huge shopping mall in hamilton. spent hours there but i controlled myself well enough not to buy unnecessary stuff, anyway still bought something la, haha.  a bit tired of being alone. so im going back to the mountain. back to the san ka la kampung with a lot of snow and friends. i miss them, loads! miss the random dinner chats with eileen, her david and savio. miss the gossip session with neighbours. miss taking staff bus up n down mountain for the spectacular view. oh i miss whakapapa and the people! so yea im going back! 

  a skill i developed recently i can now 自拍 with me and the attraction  useful skill for solo traveler, haha so i wont drop my camera into the river again   from the top of whangarei falls i have no idea why i walked all the way up i can actually drive there (to save petrol, maybe)   a relaxing afternoon in town basin thought it'll be a happening hang out spot but there's nobody around, as usual everywhere i go, there's no one. is it my prob?    big omaha the prime minister has a villa here, according to yi fan and yan qi   from auckland sky tower perfect weather, weather turns bad on the next few days. sigh   thames. it's a pretty dead town to me.  i site was closed on saturday! not until i discover the historic buildings  and pak n save! 

  rainbow warrior memorial at matauri bay   bullet hole on the wall of the first church in NZ   old printing factory in Russell   sculpture garden in kerikeri i cant resist following signs showing historic sites. be it a pile of stones or simply a well. i'll drive all the way to take pictures with them. sometimes im disappointed with my discovery, still i wanna see them, read the stories behind, and camwhore. cant deny im the perfect PR person for history channel. haha

朋友有事必须回国。请了假当然要继续旅行啦。所以我展开了一个人的旅行。其实还不赖。 一个人开车上 Auckland，没想象的远。意外发现 Hamilton Garden。还蛮不错的一个地方。让我发现春天快到了。   送了朋友去机场，又自己一个往北走。去和朋友会和。一路上听歌，吃零食。累了就找个小镇停下，到街上走走看看。觉得旅行就应该这样。不被任何东西拘束，想做什么就做什么。 参加了一天的 Cape Reinga Tour，隔天又继续一个人的旅行。停了好多地方。体验每个小镇不同的风情。就是找不到油站很令人烦恼，哈哈！    我渐渐地爱上健行，是好事来的

友情是我很在乎的事。所以每当它被破坏时我都好难受。友情是很脆弱的。为什么？ 原本以为自己交了很不错的朋友，结果发生了小意外就可以看出一个人的品格。太令人失望了。没想到一个成熟的成年人可以那么不负责任。那么不讲理。把其他人的帮忙看得那么理所当然。究竟是我瞎了眼还是我人太好？大家都爱欺负我。 我的身心灵累了两天。幸好请了假。就好好去玩吧！不理那些不知所谓的人啦！

went to ohakune for tug of war between whakapapa and turoa. a lot of them started drinking in the bus, and were drunk even before we reached ohakune. crazy ang moh. they can drink all the time. and do silly things.  the main objective of joining this event is to meet my friends from turoa, especially sow chan, haha! had so much fun watching the match between two teams. whakapapa lost and we dont understand why. i thought we won most of the matches.  drinking with friends and chatting about random topics is so awesome too. i wish tomorrow is my day off so i can continue to chat with sow chan. the asian gang is getting closer by the day. just like the old saying: you get closer when u have the same enemy. that's so true. even sow chan can sense that we ignore that someone who doesn't deserve to be in our team.  we must visit turoa again. hope we can get the same day off next week then we can snowboard at turoa! btw i hurt myself again. but i have asked my priva...

it has been a roller coaster week for everyone on the mountain. we got an email from management announcing that they'll retrench some staff coz there's not much business recently. then mt tongariro erupted on tues morning (no worries it's 20km away from where i am, im definitely safe here). then weather became crappy for a few days. and it was sunny last 2 days. such a dramatic change.  the first question we get whenever we meet our colleagues from other departments will be: are you safe? everyone is so worried. especially the Asian gang. it's so unfair that 4 out of 6 Asians from F&B are being asked to change to part time staff. reasons being they aren't coffee maker or their contract started late. seriously bull shit la. we requested to go for coffee training but they didn't send us. they sent those whom they believe can 'communicate well' in english. that's just so racist!  erin started 2 weeks later than us simply becoz she's ask...

everyone's watching rowing everyday. i wanna watch swimming, diving and my favourite badminton! seriously dont understand why the guai lous enjoy watching rowing that much. they have been hogging the tv all night. was so irritated when i was watching table tennis with savio (it's hk vs china!) then someone switched channel. rowing again! ahhhh...  the malaysian gang will be watching lindan VS our dato lee on sunday night. if dato wins, i'll request for day off on monday. haha. 

roommate's boy is coming to work in national park soon. i gotta get a new roommate and move out of current place. im more than happy to do so (my roommate is a super mafan person!) but it's not easy to find someone at this point of time. everyone has a partner. colleagues suggested me to get a boyfriend so all issues can be solved. sounds pretty good eh? but where to find leh? it's tougher to get a bf than a roommate  here lor.  i really look forward to move away from my roommate but i dont wanna move to staffies (there'll be a room available after Yee leaves next Sunday). i enjoy meeting different backpackers at The Park. my cooking skills is improving (we can't cook at staffies). and i have paid 190nzd service fees. and i gonna clean the kitchen as rostered this Saturday. so it's really unfair for me to move out now.  how i wish i can stay in single room without extra charge. haha! 

some friends came to visit me while some are leaving national park. had a great time in the past few weeks with these awesome people.   farewell for mr wong he's so 大牌, i cooked him dinner and bake him chocolate cupcakes one of my fav chatting kakis here hope to see you again in NZ 一切尽在不言中啦，好朋友   le yun visited me when the mountain was battling bad weather yet we still had lots of fun cooking dinner, non stop gossiping and of coz snowboarding all the best in your studies, im sure i'll see you again you still owe me money =) i lost my eftpos card when i was with her did joe's bad luck went to her? haha    seeing sow chan again in north island is awesome we have so much to share!  i'll visit you again in turoa, i promise!

no free internet here. so i cant update my blog as often, but no worries, im doing good here.    im in love with snowboarding. although im getting more bruises on my knees it's so fun. managed to come down from rock garden without falling down that's my best so far. must do better the next time thanks to my private instructor, Masa! arigato gozaimasu, sensei!

這是我們馬來幫最近常在講的話。真的和誰熟了誰就離開了。雖然出來流浪早就該明白天下無不散之筵席，但看著談得來的朋友一個個離開，心裡難免酸酸的。 最先離開雪山的是新加坡人Lionel。原本和他一點也不熟，某天他開始和我們聊天後，很自然地就變成了無所不談的朋友。他初次snowboard 的 buddy 是我哦，哈哈。雖然我一開始就跌倒還弄傷了手腕和嘴唇，他還是很客氣地說我滑得不錯。和他在雪山玩了一天，超開心的，那是他的farewell trip。  然後他就回到 Te Puke 做 kiwi。  接下來離開的朋友是Luciano。他走得很突然，是交通意外把他帶走了。大家都說來不及和他說再見，我情願不說再見，因為我想每天都見到他那陽光般的笑容。 他是個很可愛的小男生。常常在吃東西，研究地圖。他最愛吹的曲目是 my heart will go on。希望他在另一個過渡依然過得快樂。我好想念他。每當我經過 caravan 就會想起那天我們一起在裡面炸薯條，做 hot dog，玩得好開心。誰也沒料到，那是我們最後一次的相處。 這個星期六，Ming 就要離開了。我明白他為什麼要走，他的工作是很辛苦。這裡確實沒有讓他留戀的東西，除了不夠時間滑雪。他是我在這裡最談得來的朋友，我們假假地在 Blenheim 就認識了，那時候我們的默契已經很不錯了。他總是很好人的順從我的要求。走15分鐘的路來陪我 吃晚餐，聊天。還幫我搬東西。這一個月裡，我常常煩他陪我講話，他的話真的變多了哦。我一定會超想他的，談得來的朋友不容易找啊。我會繼續煩他的，哈哈！ 8月中，馬來幫的另一員 Yee 的 Visa 就到期了。就算她不想離開紐西蘭也不行，真的很無奈。我們現在已是無所不談的好朋友。雖然沒住在一起，但天天在巴士見面或互傳簡訊互通消息。她很愛烘蛋糕，而且都超好吃的。我在每一個地方都有一個餵飽我的朋友，哈哈。我一定會吧 snowboard 練好，然後我們一起去山上再滑一次。 希望沒有人離開了。每一次離別都很感傷。好不容易感情那麼好了，就要說再見，也不知何時再見，真的很令人 emo。

we lost four of our colleagues in a car crash 2 days ago. one of the five who involved in the accident is still in hospital fighting for life. i know four of them, out of the five.  the only survivor, Ben is working in the same cafe as me. we see each other everyday as we live in the same hostel too. i still remember once i told him, hey we see each other too frequent, every day and night i'll see you. i regret saying that. Ben, i wish i can see you everyday. Ben, keep on fighting. you have all our support from happy valley.  Luciano, only 19 this year is my first friend in national park village. he sat next to me when we took the bus from turangi to national park. we stayed at howard's lodge for 2 nights. we had pasta every dinner until we get to go grocery shopping. he's such a nice guy. i had so much fun working with him in the caravan. can't believe that's my last encounter with him. Lucho, i miss you so so much. your smile always brighten my day. g...

it has been so long since i last blogged. internet is unstable here and it's very expensive.  some updates:  work is busy as always. if cafe is not busy means no business. so busy is good.  i hurt my wrist and lips on my second snowboard attempt. painful but had a great day with lionel. it was his farewell trip.  i moved to a double room with a new friend. she thinks im weird. i think she's troublesome. so how long can we tahan each other? i have no idea.  ming is leaving next weekend. didn't expect him to leave so soon. haih i'll lose a complain aka gossip kaki here.   the scar on my lips is so obvious =P

  i miss ashburton because i miss them have been looking at the love notes they gave me almost every night before i sleep  will i see them again?  if i am going to visit all of them, i'll need to take next year off and start my journey from singapore to taiwan to Uk to france to germany then all the way to south america, haha 法国佬 – 去Talley’s 工作的司机。No worries 和 Up to you 是他的口头禅。一餐可以吃8粒鸡蛋，超夸张的。热情友善的好人一个。很爱找人聊天，所以几乎全工厂和Holiday Park 的人都认识。一开始和他沟通不良，觉得他很奇怪，但相处久后觉得他人好好又不计较。可是有时很情绪化，令人摸不着他心情为何转变得那么快。 司机哥哥 – 英国人。通常周末载我们去图书馆上网和去超级市场进货。他的笑声超好认，很像圣诞老公公。起初觉得他是成熟男人的代表，不像其他人那么没计划，因为他28岁了。相处久后，发现他蛮爱扮可爱。常说自己很倒霉，虽然他的经历是蛮倒霉的，但我相信有一天他可以顺利朝着自己的梦想迈进。 稻米 – 爱尔兰人。由于我误会他曾经偷拿我的鸡腿，所以每次他对我笑，我都觉得他笑容邪恶。直到他走的前两天，误会才解开。他并没有偷我的鸡腿。打呼声很大。个子很高，天气冷时换了件帅气外套，球衣外套就很少出现了。也是周末出城的团员。 肉食男 – 餐餐吃很多肉。Jen说他笑容灿烂。他不过才20岁，难怪那么活泼有阳光。也许一起出城所以混熟了。老爱讲冷笑话。喜欢和他聊天，总有出其不意的爆笑场面。 小鬼 – 肉食男的朋友。和肉食男一起简直是对孖宝，总爱取笑我。和他一起去Christchurch 和看日落后开始熟了。他的酒窝竟然深过我的！ 法国型女 – 看不出她31岁了。短头发，衣着打扮和一般女生很不一样。喜欢heav...

  working in a cafe on a snow capped volcano is cool you get to see super duper awesome scenery everyday first day was a good challenge for me  glad the staff and customers are very kind people   taking chair lifts to work is another plus point of the job  it's freezing cold but it's amazingly fun!   knoll ridge cafe, on top of the mountain  very pretty view up there  but i dont work here. and im glad coz it's closed most of the time depending on weather i still need more working hours to subsidize my travels so im happy to be in happy valley cafe =)

  this is the volcano i'll be working at till end of winter (hopefully) it's very cold up there. but i'll get used to the weather soon shall take more pictures up the mountain when the weather is clear weather has been crappy for the last 2 days  i'll be working at happy valley cafe hope the new work place brings me tonnes of happiness,  just like its name, haha!    finally finished writing my diary it's up-to-date now =)
